In business we have to trust our service providers. SEO companies are our gateway to online success. But it's a good idea to keep a tab on what they are doing on our websites. Remember in the online world the website is your business store and you wouldn't want a wrong description or profile projected! Or worse you wouldn't want to be taken for a ride after paying those dollars!
Ask them for a keyword list and make sure that they get them right.
This is important. Take time off for it or you'll spend five times over trying to rectify the error. You may not know what words your potential customers are using in search engines to try and find a business like yours. That's why you've hired a SEO company in the first place. But instead of appearing stupid.
- Ask them for examples of your competitor's sites
- Ask them for a keyword list.
- Select a mixture of keywords. Remember that the single word keyword will be the toughest to optimize for and they may not be the most suitable. Though there may be 5040 searches for 'insurance' per day there is no point in spending money optimizing for it. 'Auto Insurance', or 'health insurance' may be more suitable. Some thing like 'dental insurance' may be more specific. However, "call center" (treated as one word) can result in huge business.
- Ask them the difficultly level of keywords. 45% or less are relatively easy to optimize for and higher the difficulty, the toughness of optimization increases.
- Ask your SEO company to prepare a list of existing web pages on your website which target suitable keywords. That way you will know which page targets what keywords and how many more pages of content will be needed on the website.
So you get to control the costs.
Your chance of appearing at the top of search engine results is greatly enhanced if you focus your website optimization efforts on two/three word phrases instead of single words.
Check your webpage title
Now that you know what phrases which webpage is targeting check the title of the l page. You can view it in the top browser bar when you open your website. Your page title on your home page is the biggest indicator to search engines of what your website is all about. The page title originates in the Meta Tags, which are not displayed in the normal view of your website. - A page title should be between 10 to 60 characters long including spaces. - It should preferably be in the format main keyword, sub keyword, brand name Remember that the company should optimize each page title on each page to get the best result. A random check is sufficient.
Get the Description Right
The description that appears below your URL in Google search engine is the metatag description that was included in the source code of your page. The Description should contain an enticing and informative snapshot of what the website is about and it should appeal to all search engines to appear. While Google takes a page description of 150 characters, MSN often takes the initial 100 characters from the Meta Description. The description should make sense, convey all relevant information about the web page and entice the reader to read the page. It is also worthwhile placing one related keyword phrase within the Meta Description. If possible add a phone number in the description metatag.
Web Page Names
If your SEO Company is a genuine company, they will most probably get it right. But step in here to ensure that the most important pages of your website can be told over the phone. After all it's you and your team who will conduct the business. It should not be too long to fit in the business card. There are times when it is technically not possible. Ask them for a redirect.
Let People Find You
Add your contact number and office address prominently. Let people know that you have an office space. Give visitors a number to enquire for business.
Consideration for the Media
You may not be a big company right now, but as your business grows and your brand becomes recognizable the press may decide to follow you. Create a media corner. Put all your press releases, speeches and videos over there all at one place. Keep adding the latest press release to the site. Post your press release on the site a day or two earlier that the official press release.
Some Questions to Ask Your SEO Company To Keep Them On Their Toes
What 'H' Tags are you using? H Tags or 'Heading Size' were originally introduced to aid the formatting of HTML documents. Because their presence indicates page heading with larger text, many search engines have decided to count this as a significant part of their ranking. Websites should not be designed just for their look and feel. Equally they should not be designed only for search engines. However, with a bit of thought and creativity, web pages can be built with both visitors and search engines in mind.
Are you using the keyword in Alt Tags? Alt tags short form for Alternative Tags were originally designed to contain the text to be displayed on web pages instead of images if a user's computer did not have the capacity to be able to display images. Alt Tags on images provide a great way of getting your keywords near the top of your pages without reducing your website readability. Alt Tags can also positively impact your internal website keyword linking. For a website to be successful, you have to create a new site entrance by adding Alt Tags to each image to appeal to search engines more effectively. With this, not only you are appealing to more users by using Alt Tags to your images, you will also be complying with website design standards for disabled users of your site.
Is the site navigation in text? As said earlier if your SEO company is genuine they will insist on text navigation and even navigation without menu. Generally, websites have their navigation links on the top or side of each web page. Unfortunately, many website navigation menus are image based. This means that search engines often won't spider the linked pages as they do with text-based menu links.
Are you using the keywords to link to webpages? In technical parlance the phrases used to link to a particular webpage is called anchor text. They are given a lot of importance by search engines
Are all pages on the website linked by some page? Is the internal linking 100%? Well, we do not like loose ends, neither do search engine because they have been made by human. Make sure all the pages on your website can be reached by some page.
Work In Tandem
No SEO company can work effectively in isolation. They need your feedback, your suggestions (off and on). Ask for a monthly report to check your website's keyword progress. Remember SEO is a long drawn process. Competitive keywords may be harder to optimize for. Once you reach page 1, the progress becomes slower. If you have found a good company all you have to do off and on is an occasional nip in the toes to ensure there is no scope for complacency.

How to Get a Site on the First Page of Google - Part 1
Getting your website on the first page of Google can be a daunting task if you don't have a good understanding of how Google operates and what it looks for when it indexes websites for search engine results.
Back in the early days it was simple to get your website to rank high on a search engine, all one had to do was name the title of the website what ever the keyword was then use that keyword over and over several times somewhere on the page. This is now known as keyword stuffing and you really don't want to try this today because you will surely get you banned or what is commonly know as slapped by Google. And needless to say but, this is not good for your website.
So, how in fact can we get a website to rank high on Google? While there are many ways to achieve this goal, one of the best ways to do this by getting backlinks from other websites to yours or simply put, another website related to your industry, product or service has a hyperlink with your web address on one of it's pages.
For example, if you were a Realtor you could ask the mortgage or title company to place your link (http://yourdomain.com) some where on their website. This link would be pointing back to your website from their website. This is called a backlink.
Google looks for quality websites to have in their search engine results. A larger number of backlinks tell them that your site has something valuable on it as it relates to the subject or industry, so when a website has your link on it, it says to Google that this particular website vouches for your website. The search engine thinks that if you have several websites vouching for your site, then your site must be a quality website.
Other Easier Ways To Get On The First Page of Google
There are other ways to rank higher on Google which would include adding brand new content to your website on a regular basis. This means either writing articles about your subject or industry or paying someone else to write them for you, but new content is a major component, so definitely do this.
Another way to get a message on the 1st page of Google is to use web 2.0 websites with high PR or page rank. These are sites that already have established a great quality rating with Google. There are always new 2.0 websites being created so finding one is easy to do you just have to look for them.
Squidoo, Myspace, Twitter, Craigslist and Quizilla are all web 2.0 sites with high page rank and they allow you to create a page within them where you can then post your message or ad and you can also place a hyperlink back to your site. You can get an up-to-date list of the top web 2.0 websites by doing a search on Alexa.com or a Google search.
The reason web 2.0 sites are so great is because you can write an article, ad or what ever kind of message you want, post it on one of these sites and within 24 hours in many cases your message will show up on the first page of Google's search results for the world to see and if a link to your website is in the message this could result in tons of traffic and exposure for your website.
If you are trying to get internet traffic to your website, there is no difference in having your website on the first page of results or having a web 2.0 site carrying your message, the results will be the same.

Why It's Important For Your Website to Be on Google's First Page
To anyone, the importance of getting ranked by search engines is apparent. It can be the single most important factor in deciding whether your website fails or succeeds. Based on the research findings by Jupiter Research and iProspect, most people expect to find the information they're looking for on the first page of search results. Companies with older websites should update, redesign or refresh their sites design SEO in mind. The bottom line it... if no one can find the site, no one will visit it.
It was also found that the majority of users will look through no more than three pages of search engine results. In fact, a third of internet users believed that the websites listed within the first pages of search results are top companies in their each industry. If content they're looking for is not within the first few pages, 41% of searchers either changed the search term or changed search engines.
It's undeniable that users are becoming increasingly more sophisticated in the way they make purchases. They want to find information immediately, and they want to find it on the first page. Business owners should keep this in mind, because it can make or break their business. Google, in particular, is the most important search engine marketers should focus on. Google is the largest search engine accounting for more than 60% all searches made in the United States. Without optimizing a site for Google, a website might never reach its potential.
To be truly effective, business owners should focus on more than one search term. It is also important to ensure that a website can be found in the first page of the search results for a broad range of related terms. A lot of work needs to be done if you want to get higher traffic. The first thing you need to do is to research effective keywords. It will help you get organic search results that are highly targeted and relevant.
It is also possible to get paid search results through using pay-per-click ads (PPC). This is a good way to get on the first page of the search engine results page before optimizing a website. Despite the advantages of PPC, it is critical to note that organic listing is the best way to generate traffic, because it will provide more traffic, at a lower long term cost and it will build your brands reputation.

Google and Mozilla's Partnership
For many years, Google and Mozilla have had a good relationship that has been beneficial to both parties. Google has actively promoted the Mozilla FireFox browser and in exchange, Google has been the default search engine for FireFox. With over 20% of the market share, FireFox is the second most popular browser available and has Millions of users in the UK alone. Understandably, being the default search engine for FireFox is a coveted position. In fact, almost 90% of Mozilla's revenue comes from this partnership with Google.
Last year, Google launched its own browser, Chrome, and this has changed things considerably. Whilst the introduction of Chrome does not necessarily signify the end of the Google / Mozilla relationship, it is a distinct possibility. Mozilla chair, Mitchell Baker has announced that the introduction of Chrome is causing them to rethink their reliance on Google. There is no doubt that there will be many companies eager to fill Google's position, some of who will be willing to pay over the odds for the privilege.
The current contract between Google and Mozilla will not expire until 2011, and a lot can happen in that time. In fact, 2009 is set to be a big year for browsers. So far, we have seen the launch of Chrome after being removed from beta as well as an antitrust lawsuit brought against Microsoft for its exclusive inclusion of Internet Explorer With windows. It is quite possible that the Market share of the major browsers will change a lot in 2009, making the situation in 2011 very difficult to predict.

Google PR Update
As I am writing this article, a Google PR Update (PageRank update) is currently underway, and will likely be completed within a few days, but what exactly does this mean for your website? Put simply, Google Pagerank is based on the sum value of the links to your site, and a higher PageRank can help improve your listings within the search engines, particularly within Google.
What many people do not realise is that although the green bar, displaying PR as a numeric value is only updated every three months or so, the benefit of a link can be almost instantaneous. There are two main points to take from this. Firstly, the PageRank bar is always out of date. Secondly, a jump in pagerank at an update will not result in a jump in listings at the same time.
An increase in Pagerank is always good news for a site. Although it may not boost your listings, it is a good indication that your link building is paying off or that your site is moving in the right direction. PageRank is calculated using an exponential scale. The result of this is that sites with higher Pageranks require a greater value of links to move up to a higher PageRank. If your site's PR remains the same after an update, it does not necessarily mean that its link score has not improved.
An old saying is that "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" and this can be applied here. Although a higher PR is always desirable, there are many factors that will affect a sites link score. The best way to measure the benefit of links is by monitoring the changes in Search engine listings and traffic.

What is a Good KEI? Using Keyword Effectiveness Index the Right Way
Whenever the subject of KEI, or Keyword Effectiveness Index, comes up on Internet Marketing forums, there is one question that invariably asked - "What is a Good KEI?"
I would say, after of course the ubiquitous "What is KEI?" and "What is formula for KEI?" it is the most asked question surrounding the topic of Keyword Effectiveness Index.
To really answer this question completely, we need to first take a look at the components. The simplest KEI formula is Popularity Squared divided by Competition. The two variables in this formula are Popularity and Competition. Just like any mathematical equation, the final answer will vary widely depending on the values that are plugged in for each variable. So, let's take a look at the individual components.
Popularity can be determined in a few ways. For instance, WordTracker returns search numbers as a daily value - for instance, if they return a popularity score of 458, that means the term receives 458 searches per day. The Google AdWords External Keyword Tool, on the other hand, returns data on the amount of searches per month. So, using the example of 458, then the Google tool returning a popularity value of 458 would mean there were 458 searches per month. Which of these variables gets plugged into your formula makes a huge difference in the outcome of the KEI score.
Likewise for Competition. Some people believe the best measure of Competition is the search the keyword phrase in quotes. Other people believe it is to search for the keyword phrase in the title of webpages. These two searches will yield different results, many times separated by thousands. Obviously plugging in those two different variables will, again, yield drastically different KEI scores for a term.
That is the main reason why, in my opinion, it is best to use KEI as a way to quickly sift through the effectiveness of a giant list of keyword data that you, yourself, have accumulated, and to only use that score to compare the terms to others in that same list, or other terms in lists of data that you know are pulling from the same sources.
In other words, use KEI as a comparative measure, but don't toss away an otherwise promising keyword simply because it doesn't have a KEI that measures up to some arbitrary number you've heard on an internet marketing forum somewhere.
If you are doing keyword research, then chances are, you're involved in niche marketing. Are you serious about your niche marketing efforts? How would you like to get one KILLER niche per day delivered to your inbox, FREE of charge, complete with keyword research?

SEO - 5 Ways to Get High Google Rankings
Getting your website to rank high on Google organic search result listings is like getting free advertising for your website. The organic listings cannot be bought and your website can only appear on it through proper optimization (SEO). SEO is the bed rock for online marketing and all webmasters should optimize their websites right from the beginning.
By getting high Google rankings, it will bring you more visitors and probably new customers too. In this article, let me share with you 5 ways to get high Google rankings:
1. Develop the right keyword list. Targeting the right keyword is the key to SEO success. If you optimize the wrong keyword, there will be no conversion.
2. Use unique Title and Meta Description for every page of your website. The keywords that you place in your Title and Meta tags should be relevant to the content of the page. The Title tag is like a book title; it tells the search engines what the page is about. Therefore, it is extremely important for you to use relevant titles for every page of your website.
3. Write good content and place it on your website. Content is king in SEO. Good content can be in the form of words, videos, audio, widgets, etc. Your objective is to provide value to your visitors and turn your website into a link bait. With good content, other webmasters will start linking to you and this will increase your website link popularity. Link popularity is one of the key factors for SEO success, so do not overlook it.
4. Good SEO copywriting. Adding keywords in the right place will help increase the visibility of the keywords. But, you need to be careful with this approach. Stuffing too many keywords within the content will make Google thinks that you are spamming them. So no matter what, always consider the human element. Write for human to read instead of Google.
5. Build more back links. Link building increases your website link popularity which will help it to get higher rankings on Google. You can build links through article marketing, press release submission, link exchange with other webmasters, directory submission and social book marking.
These are some of the things that you should do to get high Google rankings. SEO takes time, especially link building. You need to work on it consistently to see results. Develop your link building strategy plan and work on it religiously. Good luck!

Increase Your Websites Search Engine Ranking For More Online Sales
Increasing your search engine ranking for your website does not have to be an impossible task available only to computer experts. If you have avoided trying to rank your website in the search engines, I am here to tell you that if you want your business to succeed online it is essential that your website ranks high.
More and more consumers are looking for a product or service online and they find them through the three big search engines being Google, Yahoo and MSN. The idea of SEO (search engine optimization) is to make your website more palatable to the big three and hence get you some more sales. The better ranking your website has with the search engines the more targeted traffic you will get to your website. More targeted traffic equals more sales.
Just look at your own online searching, when you search for anything online do you ever search past page 2 of the results Google finds for you. I know I don't even go past page 1.
You can study all the whiz bang technical optimization techniques out there on the market and believe me there is a lot, every man and there dog will tell you how to get your website to page 1. Before spending a fortune online to get your site optimized you might want to do a little tweaking yourself, if that is too much please contact me with any questions and I would be happy to help.
First off you can look at some simple adjustments on your website which if changed correctly most likely will result in improved rankings. Now take a look at the title bar on your homepage.
Appearing at the top of the page is the title bar. When you access your home page you should see some words that appear there on the browser tag. To improve your search engine rankings the words that appear here should be the most relevant keywords or phrases for your business. Including your company name is an excellent idea, just remember title should make some sense and not just a gaggle of keywords , the search engines want relevancy more than anything else.
You should do this for each page of your website, each title bar on each page should include the most relevant keywords and phrases for that particular page. Make sure your keywords used in the title bar for each page also appear within the content of the page as well.
Try to avoid a whole heap of keywords, a good idea is to have 8 or less keywords. Remember more is not always better. Don't repeat keywords more than once in the title.
The second item you should examine is your website content, you may have heard that with your website rankings "content is king" and yes it is. Search engines will generally list sites that contain relevant content to the users query than a whole lot of pretty pictures and graphics, so make sure your site has relevant content.
To make your content relevant you should use your 1-8 main keywords that you have chosen and fit them into the content of your website/webpage, these are keywords that your customers will be typing into the search engine to find businesses just like yours. Aim to have around 250-500 words on each page, aim for a 1% keyword density if you write 500 words of content for a particular webpage aim to mention your keyword 5 times. Remember a page has to look pleasing to the eye or your customers will not stay around long enough to buy. To achieve the higher ranks with your website the search engine "spiders" must be able to read your webpage content, make sure that your content is written in HTML form and not graphic form.
If you try and highlight the text on your website and you can highlight it and copy and paste into say notebook then the text is HTML, if you cant then it is probable in the graphic form.
Next step in our quest for that elusive page one ranking is what is called META tags. I know this is sounding all technical and very hard but if you follow these directions you can have a better optimized website that hopefully will lead to more traffic and sales.
Many people believe that META tags are the key to high ranking pages within the search engines, but in truth only have a small effect but still worth having, as every little bit counts.
To find out what your META tags are bring up your website and in your browser go to the view button and then to source code this should show you the code that makes up your website. Meta tags will usually appear near the top of the code and will say metaname, meta description, meta keywords or something to this effect. If you cant locate this code get in contact with your web designer and ask them to put them onto your site. It may not increase your rankings hugely but any small bit helps.
Last but not least we come to link popularity. This is an extremely important factor in increasing your websites ranking. Link popularity is the number 1 way the search engines will rank your website. Link popularity is based on the number and the quality of links you have linked to your website.
Type in "free link popularity check" in one of the big 3 search engines, they will come back to you with what sites are linked to your webpage. In Google you can type" links:"your URL" and it should come back with any links connected to your site. If you would like more information on getting links added to your site please send me an email and I can show you how to get all the links you need to increase your search engine ranking.
What this means is that you contact other quality sites that are related to your business in some way and request that they exchange links with your site. This requires a little leg work, you need to find out if it is worth linking to a particular site and how that site ranks in the search engines. Linking to popular quality sites not only will increase your own search engine ranking but it will direct more quality traffic to your website which in turn will generate more sales.
Search engine rankings are a necessary step in any internet marketing campaign so before you go out and spend an absolute fortune on an optimization company try to do some of the above steps yourself.
Remember to succeed online you can never ignore this all important factor in online marketing. The higher you rank in the search engines the more customers that will come to your website.

How To Improve Your Ranking in Google Local Search Results
Google recently expanded their local search results to display 10 companies when a user types in a keyword with a city in the search term. Often, these results are at or near the top of the first page of Google's search results.
But, generally, there are more than 10 companies competing for the term. A user can click on the "more results" tab to get additional listings, but realistically, these 10 companies have the best chance of getting listed.
So, how do you improve your ranking and get listed in the so called "10 pack?"
First, you need to fill out your profile at Google.com/local. Fill it out as completely as possible because the more information you give Google, the more likely they will rank you high.
Next, you should have a website that people can link to. If you have no website, Google will display a page with your contact information. But initial studies have shown that listings that include links to a business' website increase the odds of being in the top 10 results.
One of the factors that seems to be at play is if your location is close to the city center. Unfortunately, Google doesn't seem to be able to determine the distance between the user's location and the businesses. So, they use the city center as a substitute. As there is no way you can change your address easily, there may not be much you can do about this.
You can boost your ranking within local search by registering with various free yellow pages and directories. Registering for review sites like yelp.com can also help.
Finally, it seems that uploading photos in your listing boosts your ranking. Show a photo of your storefront, happy customers using your product or service, and the owners or workers. All of these things can help.
As the Google "10 Pack" becomes more important for local businesses to attract customers, every bit of optimization in your listing can help.

6 SEO Marketing Tips to Send You to the Top
SEO marketing tips can be found everywhere on the web. Unfortunately, many of these are outdated, are understandable only to experts, or are completely useless for your particular situation. These SEO marketing tips are based on current SEO trends and are applicable to every website.
1. Dismiss everything you thought you knew about SEO marketing. Things are changing rapidly, and unless you are in the loop our your information is less than a year old, you are probably behind the times.
2. Get rid of keyword and description metatags. These tags do not hold much sway, if any, with search engines anymore. Additionally, all your competition has to do is "view source" on their web browser and know exactly what keywords you are targeting.
3. Because description tags are not used or ignored, the first paragraph of your web content is crucial. This content is the first thing the search engines index, and it is the part of your site that comes up in the search results. Make sure it is keyword oriented.
4. Keywords and phrases are important for SEO marketing, but don't overdo it. A keyword density of about 3-5% is enough to get the attention of the search engines, and will keep your content human friendly. If you spam your keywords and phrases all over your site, search engines can and will ban you from their listings entirely.
5. Buy a domain that contains your keywords. If you already have a domain that is not SEO oriented, you can buy a better one and point it to your existing site. The first sites to pop up in a search will be those that have the keyword in the URL.
6. Avoid duplicate content. If you place an article on an article directory, don't use it on your website. Never copy content from other sites, either. Not only is it plagiarism, but the search engines tend to ignore duplicate content.
If you want to follow a step by step proven online money making system that you can setup today all you have to do is Click Here.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - Is it Really Worth It?
Millions of searches are performed each day on the Internet, with many of these searches for exactly what you are selling. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of getting your website listed at the top of search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Studies have shown that people scan a search results page from top to bottom and left to right looking for a relevant result. Placement at or near the top of the rankings will therefore increase the number of searchers who will see your site and thus visit it.
SEO is one of the most cost-effective types of Internet marketing available. It is the process of improving the volume and quality of visitors to your web site from the search engines via "natural" or organic listings. The higher up on the page a site is listed, most likely the more visitors it will get. An SEO program may target a variety of search; image search, local search and industry-specific vertical search engines. An effective SEO program takes into account how the search engines work and what people are searching for. A website will be optimized by changing its content and HTML code to increase its relevance to the keywords used to search for your business, as well as removing any obstacles that inhibit indexing by search engines.
Businesses want to bring more visitors to their websites, but more visitors does not mean more revenue. That is why it is important to target your SEO campaign to he keywords that will be used to find your business on the web. A successful Internet marketing campaign can drive organic traffic to your web site, but it may also be necessary to use paid advertising as well. A well rounded Internet marketing program will include SEO, paid advertising, building high quality web sites, setting up an analytics program to measure the success of the program and improve the sites conversion rate.
Search Engine Optimization may generate a return on investment. However, search engines are constantly changing their algorithms, and there are no guarantees of continued referrals. Due to this lack of guarantees and certainty, a business that relies heavily on search engine traffic should be sure to consult professional SEO companies to set up and maintain their programs.

SEO - The New Rules For 2009
The world of search is under heavy transformation and 2009 will positively be bringing new surprises, features and new search tools. What appears is the fact that search engines such as Google, are going to increasingly value your choices and clicks as a reference value to serve relevant results for your queries.
SEO gurus made some predictions about the changes they expect from Google in 2009.
Content will still be the king. Always provide fresh and unique contents. Meta tags and targeted keywords are not that important anymore. A well-searched keyword is the one that matters. Relevance of the content is the main factor for Google to value your post. Serving the needs of your readers should always be the number one thing in your mind. It is the relevance and quality of the content associated with the searching habits of the reader that Google would be looking for. Incoming back links with high values will still help.
Content will still be the predominant factor for the worthiness of a site, but that the other media like video and pod cast will become more important as Google sees how searchers request for it. Along with text, video is already making way with universal search results. Therefore, now is the opportunity to optimize rich media contents for fast results. Videos placed in You Tube ranked within days in Google. Google is now giving more importance to videos and that it is getting better at Flash. Moving pictures are the most powerful tool for quickly communicating a sophisticated array of ideas and emotions. Therefore, video optimization will be a big push in 2009.
Due to world financial crisis, many companies are forced to decrease the expenses on advertising and on SEO.
The new rules for 2009-
Unique content will rule definitely
Web 2.0 is not a trend anymore since almost all new sites support web 2.0 paradigm.
Blogging and microblogging will get more attention
Video and conversational social marketing i.e., forums and social communities will be among the most effective ways to keep your content visible inside major search engine result pages. Therefore, if you want to create a niche among your competitors, your presence must be solid and well spread across diverse media outlets.
Marketing tactics/techniques to adopt in 2009
Identify your most valuable customers and determine what attracts them. Once you begin to focus more effort on quality visitors, you will discover that certain keywords and key phrases drive high conversions/visits. Increase your bids for those keywords and optimize your ad copy and landing pages to generate even more conversions. Be sure to look at all the terms people enter into the search box. Search engines will provide the searchers a new set of results based on his history of searching and browsing habits. Google will look into IP Address, use geo-targeting and remember which websites one frequently visits.
Your web analytics tool can easily identify your top five visiting countries, visiting states, visiting cities and so on. By knowing where most of your visits are coming from, you can optimize your campaigns to those territories.
A simple change/update of the listing's description can improve the CTR phenomenally.
The challenge is not to pay so much attention to ranking, rather pay attention to traffic, conversions and keep building good content.

Getting Your Local Business Website Ranking High in the World of Google
From my previous articles hopefully you have seen why your local business must have a website to stay competitive in today's online world. And you should also know that just putting up a website online isn't going to cut it either. Your site must rank high on Google so that when your potential customers are looking for your product or service BAM your business is listed on page 1 right for them to see. If your customers can't find you then any money you have spent on your website is just a waste. You may as well have bet it all on the races.
So how do you get your website ranked high in Google??
Well there is probably dozens if not hundreds of people you could contact in your area to build you a website. You can even go online and find thousands of people who can build you a site, all of which will charge you hundreds of dollars if not thousands of dollars to build you a site with no guarantee you will make that elusive page one ranking. If they cant get your local small business into a page one ranking for your business then what is the point of spending your hard earned money.
Most web designers, especially ones who aren't working for big companies have learnt to make excellent websites with all the bells and whistles that look fantastic. You will look at it and say WOW, yours friends will go WOW, there will be no doubt you can have a good looking site made.
You just wont get any customers because when your customers go looking for you, you will not be on the first page of google. And that's all there is too it. No page one ranking, no business PERIOD.
Why? Mainly because Google doesn't rank sites on how good they look or how much they cost to build and set up. As a matter of fact Google couldn't care less for how great your site looks. In fact not only does all the fancy web designer bells and whistles not rank high it can have an extremely negative effect on your ranking. Which is the last thing you want to do if you are searching for a page one ranking.
What does Google look for? Google judges a website on how relevant it is to the search term. When people look for carpet cleaning in Sydney Google wants to be able to put in front of them listing that have a direct bearing on their search term. After all if I'm looking for carpet cleaners in Sydney and Google brings me up a list of carpet cleaners from around the globe and not Sydney that will be pretty useless to me wont it.
You can build websites that Google likes. It's called optimizing. When you have a website built you should optimize the underlying code and the content of your webpages. This will allow you to rank high with Google, very high in fact.
The higher up in Google your website gets the easier it is for you to stay there. Why? because as you are higher in the rankings more people click on your site and that tells the Google "spiders" that your site is even more relevant to the search term. When we build a top ranked website you go right to the top and you stay there.
Want some even better news. Most website designers want thousands of dollars out of you and you would be surprised of the amount of people willing to pay these high prices with no guarantee of a page one ranking. This is totally unnecessary, for $795 you can get a really cool looking website that ranks high in Google and pulls in leads and customers by the hundreds.
There is no need to spend thousands of dollars on a super fancy website, thats not the point anyway. The point is to get your business noticed, when a potential customer is searching for your product or service in your area they see you.
Contact us today and in a few short weeks you can have your local business ranking on page one of Google. This will give you visibility online, more customers and more profit.

Contrary to common beliefs having a website that comes up first in Google is not hard at all, you just need to follow few simple steps in optimizing your website and your relatively new website will appear in the top search results.
This article will give you tips that will help your website's pages come up first in Google's results.
Tips that will make your website come up first
* Internal linking is very important: External links are very important but I have lots of pages that show on the top of the results in Google without having any external links pointing to them and without having any page rank . The other very important tip is to let the internal link's anchor text contain the same keywords your original article has. For example when linking to your article that is called "How to become rich fast" from another page don't give the link the title "making money" or "Getting rich" but instead call it "How to become rich fast."
* Write articles that match popular search keywords: Your article's title , keywords and header tags should match popular search keywords. For example if people always search for the keywords "How to become rich fast" then your article should be optimized for this key phrase. For example your article's title and URL path should not be "how to make money" or "how to earn thousands of dollars" but instead it should be "How to become rich fat". For more information see my articles how to optimize my pages for search engines and Increasing search engine hits.
* Does time really matter? Older pages are more respected by search engines but I usually see my new websites showing up in the top results in Google three weeks after the creation date. In short, time doesn't matter, if anyone told you anything other than this know that he doesn't have enough experience.
* Your main page should be stuffed with keywords that are related to your articles: Pretty self explanatory, taking the last example into consideration the main page should contain the keywords "Become rich" and "Fast". Of course its much better to have the whole key phrase in the main page if possible.
* Does frequent updates really matter?: yes, updating your website daily is a must. Google gives higher importance to websites that are updated daily. You can take one or two days off but try to update your website during the rest of the days.

How to Increase Your Traffic With SEO Tools
To begin with you will need to know your Alexa Ranking and that of your competitors. This will give you a starting point and let you know where you are in relationship to your competition.
Use StatCounter. This is a free tool that will help you keep track of your visitors and where they are coming from both geographically and from which sites they are coming from. This way you will know where you concentrate your efforts based off of what's working and what's not.
Use sitemaps. Sitemaps make it easier for search engine bots to crawl your site in order to find the information for how to index them. This will generally, but not always help your site to rank higher in the search engines. Google can help you to set up a free site map when you submit to their search engine.
Check the number of incoming links that you have. The more links that you have the higher you will rank in the search engines. Use the tool at seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ to find out how many incoming links you have. This will also give you a ranking of the quality of the link that you have coming into your site. The higher the number the better.
Check keyword density. Go to seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-density. This tool tells you if you have the optimal number of keywords in your copy.
